Gilles Villeneuve Oil Painting

From the author: The painting you are looking at was made for a school friend who is still mourning the loss of this wonderful amazing man Gilles Villeneuve. It is a representation of Gilles Villeneuve ‘s first win at the Grand Prix of Montreal (Not his first win but first on that track) in 1978. Thank you for taking the time to appreciate this painting.

Giulia Montesi

My name is Giulia Montesi. Born and raised in Montreal and presently living here.

My art is very versatile because I’m influenced by different people. Walt Disney is my inspiration and I also love Norman Rockwell. I use various mediums in my work; ranging from oils to acrylics and watercolors.

I’ve also used cold porcelain for my bas relief series. The reason I use so many different mediums is cause I like variety in my work so that it can appeal to different people. Having degrees in both animation and illustration and design I like everything from bright saturated colors to soft pastels. I made an animation on the subject of bullying which I marketed to schools and school boards that won me various grants. I’ve worked for companies such as Ubisoft and Disney as well as other lesser known studios.

My work has been exhibited in various places.

1989 Batmobile on Ridiculous Rides

A REAL-LIFE superhero has turned down six-figure offers for his home-made 1989 Batmobile for hire – so he can continue helping sick children. Batman fanatic Zac Mihajlovic, from Camden, Australia, hand-built his very own street legal version of the car from the 1989 film starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. And the car has whipped up a reaction wherever it has been seen. Businessmen from across the world, including a Sheik in Dubai, have offered Zac big bucks for the Batmobile. But rather than cash-in on his dream machine, Zac decided to use his powers for good by teaming up with Make-A-Wish Australia, who make dream’s come true for terminally-ill children.

Ridiculous Rides is a episodic program about finding common ground with uncommon people and join us on an epic road trip as we live, eat and turn spanners with big characters and their ridiculous rides!
